About the team you are joining



The Airline, Airport and Security OCS department provides the aviation industry with transformative operational and compliance solutions helping to drive overall profitability and sustainability. Within the department, the Aviation Taxes, Charges & Pricing team provides the industry with a range of products and solutions supporting pricing and interline revenue management between airlines and their partners.



Access to reliable cost data is essential for airlines to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance strategic planning, and remain competitive amid rising industry expenses. To assist airlines in managing their costs, IATA is seeking to develop a new industry cost benchmarks solution which will provide actionable insights to help airlines in the areas of operational, distribution and payment costs.



Reporting to the Assistant Director, Aviation Taxes, Charges & Pricing Solutions, you will be responsible for developing and launching IATA's new cost benchmarking solution to address this key need.



What your day would be like


Define and execute product strategy in collaboration with IATA teams and industry stakeholders Establish and manage an Airline Advisory Group to validate KPIs, data requirements, and program scope Lead the end-to-end product development and delivery of IATA's Cost Benchmarking Program, including platform design, product strategy/management, and airline engagement Together with IATA's technology team, ensure the platform meets high standards of security, scalability, and usability, including role-based access controls and encryption Develop go-to-market strategies and support marketing and sales activities to ensure product and financial targets are achieved Drive airline participation and engagement leading to participation in the benchmark program Represent IATA in industry forums and working groups related to cost benchmarking and operational efficiency Providing regular updates on program performance, adoption metrics, and financial forecasts Maintain full P&L ownership for the benchmark portfolio including managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports



We would love to hear from you if

Significant experience in product management, program delivery, or data-driven solution development, preferably in aviation or financial services Experience of developing and/or managing complex, multi-stakeholder platforms or benchmarking programs Understanding of airline cost structures, including operational, retailing, and payment costs Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and drive consensus Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to senior industry stakeholders Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors Experience with data governance, security protocols, and cloud-based platforms would be a plus
