Currently enrolled in a Master's program at the University of St. Gallen or at another Swiss university, ideally in International Relations, Law, Sociology, Political Science, or a related field
Interest in Eastern European politics, state politics, migration issues, and social justice issues
Independent thinker with exceptional analytical skills
Systematic approach to processing and collecting information
Responsible, self-reliant, and self-motivated, willing to learn new skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Ukrainian and Russian language skills are a definite advantage
Confident command of MS Office Programs
Basic web design experience is an advantage

The project "Radical Reconfigurations of State-Citizen Relations: The case of Ukraine" is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and located at the Department of East European Studies at the SHSS. Led by Dr. Oleksandra Tarkhanova, the project revolves around citizenship relations, forced displacement, military occupation, and socio-political changes in Ukraine following the Russian invasion. The Department of East European Studies at the University of St. Gallen analyses current phenomena in Russia, Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region.
