Technical Requirements Engineer - Data Integration Projects

Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for a Technical Requirements Engineer.
Location: Zurich, Altstetten
Start date: 01.09.2025
Duration: 22 months - with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze existing data flows within the Integration Layer and define change requirements in collaboration with downstream application teams.
Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand where business logic resides in the Integration Layer and specify required functionality for affected applications.
In exceptional cases, oversee the re-wiring of new source systems within the Integration Layer.
Translate technical and business requirements into clear documentation to guide implementation teams and ensure smooth data integration.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and application owners to ensure that all specifications meet business needs and technical feasibility.

Required Experience and Skills:

Proven experience in Requirements Engineering, particularly within data-heavy environments.
Strong technical expertise in:
Oracle SQL - for analyzing and retrieving complex data flows
Informatica PowerCenter - for understanding ETL processes and business logic embedded in the integration layer

Ability to analyze and map complex data flows, and convert findings into actionable, concise technical requirements. Deep understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and how changes in integration points impact downstream applications.
