About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the Food & Beverage division, the Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our all-day dining restaurant. This position is responsible for maintaining exceptional service standards, leading and motivating the team, and delivering memorable dining experiences for every guest. The Assistant Restaurant Manager reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Leading the team and ensuring smooth and guest-oriented work processes in the restaurant in close cooperation with all departments of the house. Feedback and training of your team. Professional advice and customer care for our guests. Excellent product and sales knowledge. Complying with and ensuring our high standards of service. Communicating current offers in the department and throughout the house. Responsible for the correct accounting of your department. Responsible for complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines. Projects and tasks management.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, we expect from you:

Completed vocational training in the upscale hotel or catering industry. Previous professional experience in a similar position. Expressiveness, open-mindedness and team spirit. Written and verbal communication skills , guests will come to you with both complaints and positive feedback. Leadership, organizational skills and the ability to lead a team of employees from different cultures with sensitivity and discipline. High quality awareness and a sense for trends Good IT skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageous Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma Flexibility and resilience - your position will include night, weekend and holiday shifts Very good knowledge of German and English. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.

Als Assistant Restaurant Manager :in sind Sie fur die folgenden Aufgaben verantwortlich

Leitung des Teams und Sicherstellung reibungsloser und gasteorientierter Arbeitsablaufe im Restaurant in enger Zusammenarbeit mit allen Abteilungen des Hauses. Feedback und Schulung Ihres Teams. Professionelle Beratung und Betreuung unserer Gaste. Ausgezeichnete Produkt- und Verkaufskenntnisse. Einhaltung und Sicherstellung unserer hohen Servicestandards. Kommunikation aktueller Angebote in der Abteilung und im gesamten Haus. Verantwortung fur die korrekte Abrechnung Ihrer Abteilung. Verantwortung fur die Einhaltung der Hygienevorschriften und Sauberkeit im Rahmen der HACCP-Richtlinien. Projekt- und Aufgabenmanagement.

Als Assistant Restaurant Manager :in erwarten wir von Ihnen:

Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung im gehobenen Hotel- oder Gaststattengewerbe. Berufserfahrung in einer ahnlichen Position. Ausdrucksstarke, Aufgeschlossenheit und Teamgeist. Schriftliche und mundliche Kommunikationsfahigkeiten , Gaste werden sich mit Beschwerden und positivem Feedback an Sie wenden. Fuhrungsqualitaten, organisatorische Fahigkeiten und die Fahigkeit, ein Team von Mitarbeitern aus verschiedenen Kulturen mit Feingefuhl und Disziplin zu leiten. Hohes Qualitatsbewusstsein und Gespur fur Trends. Gute IT-Kenntnisse, Kenntnisse des Kassensystems Infrasys und des Buchungssystems SevenRooms waren von Vorteil. Ausgezeichnete Umgangsformen und gepflegtes Ausseres sowie eine positive Ausstrahlung. Flexibilitat und Belastbarkeit - Ihre Position umfasst Nacht-, Wochenend- und Feiertagsschichten. Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse. Zusatzliche Fremdsprachenkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.
