Job Description

For our client in the insurance industry, we are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong technical focus (924655JP). In this role, you will act as a liaison between business, IT architecture, and development teams, and be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and specifying requirements in an agile IT environment. The focus will be on contract management processes and the further development of modern, service-oriented application landscapes.

Responsibilities:

- Analysis, specification, and documentation of business requirements and processes in the area of ??contract management
- ??Development of functional and technical requirements (requirements engineering) in close collaboration with stakeholders from business, product management, and IT
- Support and participation in SCRUM development teams (e.g., refinements, backlog maintenance, story specification, acceptance criteria)
- Translation of functional requirements into technical specifications, taking into account modern IT architectures (e.g., microservices, APIs, cloud services)
- Support during implementation, conducting reviews, and assisting with testing, acceptance, and the rollout of new or optimized solutions
- Analysis and optimization of existing business processes, including the creation of use cases, user stories, process and data models
- Close collaboration with stakeholders from the insurance industry; ensuring functional quality and traceability throughout the entire lifecycle

Requirements:

- More than 7 years of professional experience in business analysis and requirements engineering in an IT environment
- ??At least 3 years of practical experience in agile development teams using Scrum (e.g., as a business analyst, requirements engineer, product owner proxy)
- Experience in contract management processes (e.g., contract creation, administration, amendment, termination, policy administration)
- Ideally, you already have specialist and product experience from the insurance industry.
- Strong technical affinity and understanding of object-oriented software development, microservices, APIs, or cloud services
- Experience with scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
- Excellent communication skills, confident stakeholder management, and the ability to present complex issues clearly
- Structured, analytical, and independent work style, as well as a strong focus on solutions

Education:

- Completed studies in business administration, business informatics or computer science (or comparable education)
- IREB certification or comparable certification in business analysis is an advantage

Languages:

- German (native speaker/fluent)
- English skills at least at B2 level
