About this role

\\n

This role is a leadership role in Biogen\\xe2\\x80\\x99s wider global supply chain team. You will be operationally, commercially, and strategically responsible for all logistics and distribution activities for our European Affiliate countries and all global International Partner Markets. You will ensure the successful processing of our customer orders, and the delivery of our customer orders of products and related information and services to customers in the market.

What you\\\'ll do

  • \\n
  • Manage and lead an internal team, partner with senior internal stakeholders and external suppliers to proactively manage inbound flows, finished goods inventories, customer order requests and customer order fulfilment services across Europe and our international partner markets. Ensuring all physical and information flows are proactively managed and customer orders are successfully received, processed and delivered on time and in full across the market(s).\\n
  • Working both tactically and strategically, the role proactively manages and improves overall Biogen business performance in all EU (European) and IPM (International Partner Markets) related activities.\\n
  • Work in strong partnership with internal and external stakeholders, and particularly Biogen affiliate, financial, quality and commercial teams to deliver value across EU and IPM markets.\\n
  • Lead and coach a team of direct reports and work as part of a global leadership team to increase knowledge and understanding of global supply chains across the business, to deliver improved business performance at Biogen.\\n
  • You will lead and execute customer order readiness, finished goods management, order fulfilment, delivery, and related customer service activities. Proactively ensure distribution and logistics network readiness, distribution model selection and internal and supplier readiness for new product launches. Deliver very high levels of customer service performance (OTIF and beyond), playing an important role in meeting revenue targets for the market and managing all associated costs (P&L logistics costs, Inventory costs, E&O). First point of contact for the local commercial, affiliate, finance, quality and International partner market organization on Distribution and Logistics (D&L) related topics in the region.\\n
  • You set and drive D&L strategy for the markets in alignment with global vision & strategy. Drive excellent supplier performance & customer service, accountable for regional D&L P&L and budget for all D&L related activities (distribution, warehousing, brokerage, transportation, inventory and E&O), as well as identifying and delivering performance improvement initiatives in D&L, and working closely with internal and external stakeholder to identify broader business improvement opportunities in the region and globally.\\n

Who you are

\\n

In prior roles you gained in\\xe2\\x80\\x90depth knowledge of logistics and go-to-market requirements, able to critically review and improve processes. In-depth knowledge of cross functional finance, commercial and operations/Supply Chain processes and interfaces. Strong people leadership and development skills, and Strategic Relationship Management skills to drive commercial objectives, Supply Chain goals, accomplishments and Customer Value Creation. You communicate with impact and have the ability to influence at a senior level. Ability to set out a long term road map, initiate change, drive decision making, and demonstrate resilience and change management leadership.

\\n Qualifications\\n
\\n
  • \\n
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar education required\\n
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in Distribution & Logistics in local market(s)\\n
  • People management experience and/or Cross Functional Project Management experience\\n
  • Experience of working in multiple geographies and being part of a global supply chain team.\\n
  • Deep cross functional knowledge in logistics, finance, commercial, quality and operations/Supply Chain processes and IT interfaces.\\n
  • Proven experience in working cross functionally, leveraging their skills to influence and drive results within the matrix organization\\n
  • Exceptional team player and ability to develop strong network across the company and with external partner\\n
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to attain buy in from different stakeholders\\n
  • Fluent in English, ideally one other European language\\n
