The Global Category Lead Professional Services & Human Capital will be responsible for formulating and executing strategies that deliver market leading and cost-effective solutions to the business and for providing commercial leadership on related sourcing projects. He/She will be closely working with global stakeholders and functional SMEs to actively manage addressable supplier spend. The function will report to the Head of Global Category Management.

YOUR CHALLENGE

To conduct financial and business analysis (e.g. data mining of Procurement and Financial Systems, output analysis and interpretation) To provide global market intelligence in the category area To identify strategic and sustainable category imperatives aligned to the Bank's business objectives To provide category advice to project executives and managers to ensure effective procurement of categories in scope Together with the team of Strategic Sourcing Leads lead the execution of global sourcing events aimed at delivering value to the business whilst leveraging spend, reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and developing supplier relationships To give active guidance and advise on execution of operational procurement for the Regional Value Delivery teams To represent BJB as senior negotiator lead and first level escalation path To create transparency around the sourcing agenda and deliver targeted Procurement Contribution (Cost Savings/Cost Avoidance) of the team To facilitate establishment of cross-functional team collaboration, climate and support necessary for these teams to operate effectively and to ensure the effective execution of approved category strategies

YOUR PROFILE

Master degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Law or similar relevant field Recognised industry professional qualification (CIPS, CPA, CIMA or additional education/experience) A second advanced business or finance degree (MBA, MBL, MSc) together with appropriate professional registration would be an advantage + 15 years relevant (indirect) procurement experience, preferably in the financial services industry Deep knowledge of Professional Services & Human Capital supply markets Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing category management strategies in Professional Services & Human Capital Know-how of Professional Services & Human Capital market and applicable laws & regulations Solid people management and leadership experience of a small team of senior Strategic Sourcing Leads (~2 FTE) Experience of interfacing with and influencing senior managers and business stakeholders as well as leading relationships with suppliers, substantial exposure to successfully navigating in complex environments and matrix structures Strong negotiations skills, ability to work individually and lead teams to success Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to integrity standards, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating people fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
