A leading sterile drug product manufacturer in Switzerland is seeking an accomplished Head of Engineering to lead a period of major technical transformation and expansion at their site. This is a key leadership position, reporting directly to the General Manager, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future state of the facility. This role will require a German Speaker The RoleThe Head of Engineering will oversee all aspects of engineering, maintenance, and technical services across the site, managing a team of around 20 professionals. This individual will be responsible for driving significant modernisation and optimisation initiatives, including: Upgrading production systems, utilities, and technical infrastructure Leading large-scale CAPEX projects and investment planning Designing and implementing a new sterile production line Strengthening processes, standards, and GMP compliance across all engineering operations You'll have the mandate to transform the site's technical capabilities - delivering greater reliability, efficiency, and innovation - while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained. The ProfileWe're looking for an engineering leader who combines strategic vision with strong technical depth. You should be comfortable operating at both senior leadership and operational levels - equally capable of defining long-term strategy and troubleshooting under pressure. Key experience and attributes include: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical or equivalent) Strong background in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing, ideally in aseptic or sterile production environments Proven experience leading CAPEX and infrastructure projects within a GMP-regulated context Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing and developing technical teams A mindset focused on continuous improvement, reliability, and operational excellence Why This RoleThis position offers the opportunity to lead a transformative phase for a site that is critical to global sterile product supply.
