As of 1 August 2027, the KPM Center for Public Management and the Institute for Public Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bern are seeking a Professor in Swiss Constitutional and Administrative Law (open rank).


Requirements


As of 1 August 2027, the KPM Center for Public Management and the Institute for Public Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bern are seeking a Professor in Swiss Constitutional and Administrative Law (open rank).

Requirements include a completed habilitation or a well-advanced habilitation project or an equivalent academic qualification, a license to practice law or a comparable track record with practical experience, further excellent academic achievements in constitutional and administrative law with specializations in, for example, administrative organizational law, digitization or public finance and economic law, teaching experience as well as the willingness to serve on the management board of the interdisciplinary KPM Center for Public Management and to participate in the acquisition of third-party funding. Proficiency in German necessary for teaching, research and academic self-administration.

Depending on the qualifications of the person to be appointed, we offer a position as a full professorship, associate professorship or assistant professorship with tenure track.
