Job Description

EPAM is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) to join our team in Zurich. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in portfolio management workflows and private banking, as well as hands-on experience integrating CRIMS with enterprise systems such as trade execution platforms, market data services, Order Management Systems (OMS), and custodians.


This position offers a hybrid work model, blending remote work with on-site collaboration at our client's office.

Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end integration, customization, and maintenance of Charles River IMS with upstream and downstream systems, including OMS, accounting platforms, data warehouses, and market data feeds Work closely with portfolio managers, compliance, risk, and IT teams to optimize front-to-back investment workflows Design, implement, and maintain integration solutions using APIs and messaging protocols such as FIX, REST, SOAP, XML, and MQ Configure rules, workflows, compliance checks, and alerts within Charles River to meet business requirements Lead system upgrades, patches, and migrations, providing technical support and guidance throughout the process Translate business needs into scalable and secure integration designs Diagnose and resolve integration-related technical issues by performing root-cause analysis Assist with production support activities to ensure system stability Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, data mappings, and interface designs Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training sessions, and production go-live activities

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in the banking industry with a strong understanding of the portfolio management lifecycle A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Charles River Investment Management System (CRD/CRIMS) In-depth knowledge of portfolio management, compliance workflows, and the order/trade lifecycle Expertise in APIs (REST/SOAP), FIX Protocol, XML/JSON messaging, and middleware technologies such as MQ Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data integration and analysis Experience collaborating with custodians, market data vendors like Bloomberg and Refinitiv, and accounting platforms Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both business and IT stakeholders Fluent English skills, with at least B1-level proficiency in German
