Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer / BI Modeler, you play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the organization's data architecture and business intelligence solutions. You ensure that high-quality, consistent, and reliable data is available for analytics, reporting, and decision-making. You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models and efficient ETL processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & ArchitectureDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to integrate data from multiple systems and sources
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all environments
Optimize data flows and query performance within data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
Maintain and improve data lake and warehouse structures aligned with best practices and governance standards
Data Modeling & BIDesign and implement logical and physical data models optimized for analytics and self-service BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Develop reusable semantic models, datasets, and calculated measures
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and analytical dimensions
Support end users in understanding and accessing data for reporting and analysis
Governance & QualityImplement data validation, versioning, and documentation standards
Contribute to data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.)
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and BI performance issues proactively
That's what you bring along:
Technical SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
3+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or data modeling roles
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, Talend, SSIS)
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, PySpark) is a plus
Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lifecycle principles
Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Structured and detail-oriented working style
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation
