Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Consolidation Reporting Analyst reporting directly to the Head of Statutory and Standards Consolidation Manager.

As part of the day to day you will collaborate closely with Somfy affiliates around the world and oversee the consolidation, financial reporting and be part of important projects.

Your role will be crucial in managing ensuring accurate financial data production, driving continuous improvement processes, and supporting the implementation of new ERP system and the global accounting model within the group.

As a key player in the finance department, you will contribute to the company\\\'s mission by providing financial insights and enabling strategic decision-making.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Senior Consolidation Reporting Analyst will be a critical part of the team, working closely with the consolidation team and global finance teams across the globe to enhance the company\\\'s consolidation and reporting processes.

The successful candidate will be joining an open and flexible working environment in a role with a lot of autonomy and exposure to new projects and acquisitions of Somfy Group:

Consolidation
  • Contribute to the quarterly consolidation process, according to IFRS standards, ensuring accuracy and timely completion and the drafting of the accounts and closing notes
  • Collect, analyze quarterly consolidation packages from subsidiaries and follow up open points
  • Collaborate with and validate cross-functional, country and business unit teams to gather financial data and supporting documentation (acquisitions, goodwill, leases,
  • Review of reporting of all subsidiaries, including reconciliations & eliminations \\xe2\\x80\\x93 all compliant with the accounting principles
  • Manage balance sheet reviews
  • Assist in Planning & coordinating the consolidation closing process
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Analyzing financial statements and data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with IFRS regulations
  • Preparing consolidated financial statements, notes, and disclosures
  • Ensure the monthly control of intra-group flows eliminations
  • Ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, tax regulations, and local GAAP, including support for the conversion to IFRS
  • Check and resolve any anomalies in liaison with the entities\\\' financial controllers
  • Check the concordance between the (published) social data of the subsidiaries and the data entered for consolidation purposes
Statutory Reporting
  • Prepare and assist in quarterly reporting report and commentary
  • Formalize the work of closing the statutory consolidation in an audit file and answer the questions of the auditors;
Participate in the writing of analysis notes
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Process improvement
  • Educating the newcomers across Somfy finance in the streamlined consolidation process
  • Staying updated with the latest IFRS standards and adapting processes and SOPs accordingly.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to enhance the efficiency of the consolidation process.
  • Initiating process improvements and streamlining reporting procedures.
  • Participate in the updating of the group\\\'s accounting procedures and assist/train subsidiaries for their proper application.
  • Conduct in-depth financial reviews of subsidiaries outside of face-to-face or remote closing periods.
Administrator tools
  • HFM Administrator Manage system enhancements and period opening and closing tasks in the consolidation tool
  • Participate in the update of rental contracts in the dedicated tool
  • Assisting in the implementation of the new consolidation system
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in a leading audit firm /Big4 and/or senior finance position within a Corporate (e.g., Accounting / Controlling / Consolidation / Corporate Finance)
  • Strong background in IFRS experience, Consolidation, and Accounting
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to structure your thoughts and derive action plans for your team to execute, as well as the ability to communicate efficiently across all staff and stakeholders levels
  • Team & Hands-On working style; Good organizational skills, autonomous and reliable
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Solid knowledge of the Hyperion and HFM (or equivalent), SAP knowledge would be a strong asset
  • Business fluent in English and French is a must, any further European language is an asset
