\\n With a good understanding of HNC, its product and innovation portfolio and corresponding regulatory needs, the Tox Lead HNC acts as primary partner of the Toxicology Group for HNC. Together with the experts from the Center of Excellence Toxicology & Kinetics (T&K), the Tox Lead provides the HNC-specific Toxicology strategy and safety-related data and assessments to ensure safe and compliant products and to deliver a clear competitive advantage contributing to business growth and reputation.

Your key responsibilities
  • Act as primary key partner of the T&K function for HNC. Understand the HNC-products and the regulatory requirements.
  • Together with the experts from the T&K Excellence Center, define, execute and contribute the T&K component for innovation projects and for marketed products meeting aggressive timelines and resulting in successful approvals.
  • Lead and develop a team of experts from the T&K Center of Excellence. Strengthen the scientific expertise and actively address and evaluate new trends in T&K; Maintain certification as toxicologist (ERT or DABT).
  • Strategically build and maintain external and internal scientific networks (e.g., regulatory bodies, scientific societies, industry associations), leverage external KOL with specific T&K expertise and knowledge.
  • As member of the T&K lead team share the responsibility for the strategy, capabilities, scientific advancement and success of the T&K Group.
  • Collaborate successfully across the T&K group to meet HNC needs in terms of Tox capabilities, capacities and budget.

You bring
  • Master or PhD in Life Sciences.
  • Deep knowledge in Toxicology or Kinetics with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership skills. Inspires, influences, and motivates others to perform, also in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication, teamworking and networking skills.
  • Result-oriented, with a strong internal and external customer focus.
  • Strong drive, especially in a transforming environment, continuously looking for ways to improve & promote innovation and efficiencies.
Important note

This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades\\\' design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles\\\' nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
